PROJECT OVERVIEW
HD Construction is providing critical structural framing and interior finish services for the new Elkhorn Elementary School in Frankfort, Kentucky. Partnering with Wehr Constructors, this project supports Franklin County Schools with the construction of a modern educational facility designed to serve the community for decades to come.

The project is currently in the early phases of construction, with structural framing and truss installation setting the foundation for future interior buildout. HD Construction’s work focuses on precision, schedule alignment, and close coordination with adjacent trades to maintain project momentum.

HD Approach

From the outset, HD Construction implemented a schedule-driven execution plan designed to support efficient sequencing and safe installation practices. Structural metal trusses were installed using controlled staging, equipment-assisted placement, and disciplined sequencing to reduce site congestion and maintain productivity.

Framing and interior scopes were coordinated alongside MEP rough-ins to ensure smooth transitions between trades and avoid rework or delays as the building progresses toward close-in.

Current Status

Structural metal trusses have been successfully installed, keeping the project on schedule and allowing the team to transition into continued framing and interior scope. HD Construction remains committed to supporting Wehr Constructors and Franklin County Schools through disciplined execution and collaborative trade coordination.
