Richmond, KY — HD Construction is pleased to announce its contributions to the renovation of Burnam Hall at Eastern Kentucky University, a project designed to enhance the student residential experience while preserving the historic character of campus.
Working with general contractor DW Wilburn, HD Construction provided specialized craftsmanship to modernize interior spaces while supporting the building’s heritage.
Key Contributions by HD Construction:
Framing – Completed throughout the renovated areas to support refreshed layouts and updated functionality.
Drywall & Plaster Patching – Restored walls and ceilings with a seamless finish that maintains Burnam Hall’s historic charm.
Acoustic Ceilings – Installed to improve comfort, sound control, and overall livability in student rooms and common areas.
Located across from the Ravine and adjacent to the Case Dining Hall and Powell Student Center, Burnam Hall now offers a unique blend of traditional, enhanced traditional, and suite-style living options for EKU students.
“This project is about more than construction—it’s about creating a space where students can feel at home, connect, and thrive,” said Donnie Proffitt, Owner of HD Construction.
